HAWKS, HATTON & KFC

Man it's been a crazy couple of weeks. I barely have time to blog anymore. Boo me. Shameless to say I've actually been on Twitter lately so most of my updates have been on there. Follow me @hanhnybun if you want.

Anyhoos, here's a quick recap of everything I've been meaning to write for the last couple:

~ Why do people go crazyyy when something is free? Last week KFC gave away a piece of grilled chicken & I heard that it was mad chaos. I'm glad I missed that. This week apparently Oprah is giving away a free 2 piece meal at KFC & apparently everybody & their mama is getting their chicken ON. I went to KFC today not knowing about the giveaway & was freaking trapped in the parking lot! UGH! I didn't even want it as soon as I saw the line of cars wrapped around the drive through & the parking lot. But I couldn't even get out! Cars were every which way in & out of the parking lot in every direction. It was freaking gridlocked! IN A PARKING LOT. WTF?!

And even the inside was wrapped around to outside. OUTSIDE. Mannnn. Whoever is PR/ Marketing for KFC should get a big ass raise. Got Oprah to join the grilled chicken train. Props to you!

~ After I finally got out of the parking lot, tell me why I went to Wendy's & asked for McNuggets?... FAILED

~ Tell me why a hispanic person (I don't know man or woman as I didn't see them) just got rushed out on a stretcher in the business next to ours? Which is a hispanic business might I add? And on a tangent, tell my why I read in the news a couple of days ago that there are 2 swine flu cases in Metro Atlanta now. One where I work & one where I live. How convenient. AND the case where I work the family refused treatment & wasn't quarantined but instead told to stay at home until they got better. WHAT?! I didn't know that that was an option! How can you deny treatment to something that you know you're sick with? That's just insanity to me, but who am I to judge right?

So excuse me if I'm all swine flu paranoid right now if someone in the same building as me has to be rushed out on a stretcher. I'm hoping it's not worst case scenario. *crosses fingers*

~ One of the coworkers that I actually liked quit Friday. And I just found out yesterday. I didn't even get to say bye! Moped... My last conversation with her was when I thought she was going out for an appointment. She said bye & I said "Where are you going?" as in "Which appt. are you going to?" and she said "I don't know" & hugged me & that was it.

Looking back now I see how she would've thought that I knew. Boo. How come the people that I don't like are still here? haha.

~ I'm trying to tone up for the beach. Me & Actor are going with my sister & her fam. It'll be the 1st time that my sis & Actor meet so I'm excited about that. And I REFUSE to wear a bikini if I'm not toned by then.

~ We watched the unrated version of Hitman last night. It was popping as hell. Dunno why people gave it bad reviews. Maybe cuz they showed the rated version at the theaters. But if you've already seen it watch it again with the unrated version. It was realllly good.

~ I bought 180 VHS tapes for $30. haha. Don't ask. I had to buy a VCR to even watch them. But it's been so fun catching up on old movies that I've never seen before. I.E. Matrix. Dances With Wolves. Conspiracy Theory, etc. Yes I've never seen the Matrix till this yr. Don't judge me! I went to see Matrix 2 when it came out but fell asleep cuz my date was boring.

~ Did anyone see the Pacquiao/ Hatton fight? MANNNNNNNNN. I already knew Hatton was going down but I don't think ANYBODY thought it was gonna be that quick. Lol! As soon as Pacquiao knocked him down the 1st time in the 1st round I knew it was over. I KNEW Hatton was going down in the 2nd round. DEFINITELY. Should've betted but I forgot to.

~ And Pacquiao vs. Mayweather? I'm sorry but I've got my money on Mayweather. I love both of them & they're both quick & strong but I think Mayweather is stronger. Now if only he would stop talking so much shit... But that's gonna be a GREAT fight. And I will be watching :-)

~ We watched game 7 of the Hawks vs. Heat & was so happy that the Hawks won. Mannn we were so crunk on a Sunday. lol! I feel so bad for them though cuz there's probably no way that they're going through King James. I missed the 1st game but hope they win at least one game with the Cavs.

~ We went to eat Pho (Vietnamese cuisine) after the game. It was delicious! I actually got Pho instead of the Vermicelli dish that I usually get. Yummm

SHOPLIFTERS, BABIES & CHICKEN WINGS

"MONTCALM COUNTY, Mich. – A western Michigan man helped deliver his wife's baby boy despite not knowing she was pregnant. The Grand Rapids Press reported the man called 911 early Thursday as his wife was in labor. The man told the dispatcher that he had not known his 27-year-old wife was pregnant. He said they recently quit smoking and thought her recent weight gain was related.

The couple has two children, and the mother has an additional child from a previous relationship.

Following the successful delivery, the dispatcher talked the man through post-birth procedures. The child was taken to a local hospital."

Hanh: Okkkkkkkkk. How do you not know that she was pregnant? If you gain weight it's not gonna be all in the stomach you dummy! lol! Plus it probably ain't yours if she didn't tell you about it. *sighs* I'm glad the baby is healthy though. I'll pray for you guys.

"NEWARK, Del. – Police said a 22-year-old man broke into an apartment to steal $82 worth of chicken wings and Hot Pockets. Police arrested the man on Wednesday and charged him with breaking into the apartment last month. Detectives said two people were sleeping inside their apartment about 3 a.m. on March 18 when the man broke in.

Police used video surveillance systems at the apartment complex to help identify the suspect. Police said one of the stolen frozen food items was found at his home and he was arrested. Police said he tried to enter six other apartments but the doors were locked."

Hanh: LMFAO. $82 worth of wings & Hot Pockets. hahahahahaha... How'd they know the ones that they found at his house were stolen? He obviously likes them & probably had his own.... Right..... ?

"PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – Authorities said two Port St. Lucie women tried to steal nearly $200 worth of merchandise from a Wal-Mart but got caught because they left packets of recently developed pictures in their abandoned shopping carts.

Police said a self-checkout cashier noticed two women scan and pay for $70 worth of items Thursday, but the bagged groceries in their carts appeared worth much more. When the cashier asked to see their receipt, the women took off.

Among all the merchandise that hadn't been paid for, store officials found two packets of recently developed pictures. The cashier identified the women in the photos, and the name and phone number on the envelopes turned out to belong to one of the women.
Both women face retail theft charges."

Hanh: Don't these ppl watch "World's Dumbest Criminals" on TruTv? UGH!

SOME PEOPLE...

FORT PIERCE, Fla. – What would you do for a Klondike bar? Authorities said a man shoved an ice cream bar down his pants and then offered a Texaco station store owner $69 not to turn him in for shoplifting. The owner told police that a 65-year-old man tried to sneak the Klondike bar, along with packages of Ramen noodles and Famous Amos cookies, out of the store without paying Tuesday night.

When the store owner confronted the man as he tried the leave the store, the owner reported that the man pulled the flattened ice cream snack out of his back pocket and offered the owner $69 for it.

The owner called police, and the man was charged with retail theft and violation of probation charges. He was being held on $500 bail.

Hanh: *shakes my head* ....... So why didn't you just pay for it in the 1st place? I swear ppl are stupid! What would you rather pay? $10 or $500 plus have to go to court? *sighs*

THE SICK, THE IRATE & THE IDIOT

I'm feeling slightly crappy today. Every single person around me is sick. Actor & his brother is sick, half of my coworkers are sick, especially the one in the cube next to me who's coming down with the flu & another one who just came back from the flu. I've been feeling a little worse everyday but refuse to acknowledge or give in to it because I REFUSE TO GET SICK. I haven't been dramatically sick in a veryyyyy long time & plan on keeping it that way. I woke up around 5am this morning just to drink some OJ cuz my throat was clogging up & went back to sleep. Like I said, refuse to get sick.

I had some Airborne but it's been in my purse for awhile & all of this lint somehow got in the bottle so I really don't wanna drink it. You know I'm anal about stuff like that. I heard about the law suit against them too. How everyone got their money back? I don't know if it's a placebo effect but I think it works. I used to take it all the time & never got sick... I heard some people are swearing by Emergen-C now so I might try it...

On another note, check this out:
"BARNSTABLE, Mass. – A Massachusetts man who walked into a police station and asked for help removing a pair of handcuffs dangling from one wrist ended up wearing another pair instead.

Police Sgt. Sean Sweeney said 21-year-old Allahmanamjad (el-ah-MAN'-a-jahd) Barbel showed up Tuesday claiming he couldn't get off the cuffs his sister slipped on him at a child's birthday party.

Police ran Barbel's name through the state warrant system and discovered he had outstanding warrants on charges of driving with a suspended license, leaving the scene of an accident, threatening to commit a crime and making annoying phone calls.

Sweeney said police removed the cuffs — then slipped on a new pair to arrest him.

They never confirmed his story about the party."

Hanh: Uh... 1st of all, did they really have to put the pronunciation of his name? haha. And what an idiot! Are you serious?! You didn't know that you had some warrants? lol! Why would you even go to the cop for that? Darwin's Law man. Darwin's Law.

And speaking of cops, here's another fun one:

"Authorities said a man, 66, was arrested after calling 911 on Saturday to complain that a fast food restaurant ran out of lemonade. After a drive-through employee failed to respond to the man's threat of contacting the police, the irate diner called 911, a police report alleges.

He spent about 5 minutes talking to the 911 operator about his complaint.

Boynton Beach said the man was charged with abuse of 911 communication."

Hanh: Aww poor man. Ya'll thought he was playing huh? He don't have time for that foolishness! He's serious bout that lemonade. Lol! Better get some more before he comes back!

THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM

"CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Authorities are looking for a shoplifter who was run over twice by her getaway car after stealing $1,200 worth of designer purses from a Cape Coral store. A T.J. Maxx security guard told police she saw a woman stuff six designer Dooney & Bourke purses into her pants Tuesday morning and walk out of the store. The guard said she was confronting the woman when a car pulled up.

A report said the shoplifter tried to get into the vehicle but fell out and was run over by the car. She then got up and jumped onto the hood of the car. As the car was driving away, the report said the woman fell off and was run over again. On her third attempt, she finally made it into the vehicle.

Police are using the car's license plate and a check the woman dropped to track her down."

Hanh: ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!! (Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off!!!) hahahhahahaha.

I'm sorry, how the hell did she stuff 6 purses into her pants? How big was she? And how the hell you get ran over not once but TWICE by your own getaway car? lol. Somebody is FIRED!!! And she's keeping all of the sweaty, broken & thigh smelling purses for herself!

ROBBERS & A HIGH SPEED CHASE... Sounds like a Jason Statham movie.

So tell me why my parent's house got broken into? This is their 2nd break in since we've been to the states. The 1st time was when I was in elementary school.

It was a day right before my birthday last week. I was at work & my mom called & told me that she just got home & the house was in disarray. I was just about to head out of the door to go get my driver's license renewed but had to cancel & head down there.

I'm doing about 80-90 mph down the highway in a-few-minutes-before rush hour traffic & I see a cop with his lights on coming up behind me. Before I could mutter an "Oh shit!" a motorcycle flies right pass me & the cop's tailing him. My horrified "Oh shit" turned into an intrigued one as I see the motorcycle weaving in and out of lanes & basically dusting the cop. Mind you I'm in the lane right next to the HOV & the chase is going on in the HOV lane & the side ramp. The cop, seeing that he's being left behind, starts gunning his car till smoke comes out of the back & he had to have slammed some part of his car into the left wall cuz all of this debris started flying at my car. Now my window was down cuz it was warm that day.

So here I am, adrenaline already pumping to the max cuz I'm trying to hurry up & get to my parents house so I could translate for the police report & a high speed chase is going on right next to me. My heart almost flew out of my chest when I saw all of that smoke & debris coming at my car cuz I figured it would fly in my window & hit me. I braced myself but nothing happened. I dunno how but miraculously nothing hit me. I checked my car when I got to their place & it didn't have any damages on it either. Whew! God loves me :-D

Anyhoos, so the motorcycle is allllllll the way down the highway by now while the cop is still trying to merge over to the other lanes & catch up with him. And (if you know me & my crazy self) you know I was trying to follow them too. haha. Blame my intrigued news reporter at heart & action loving soul. So I'm speeding up so I can see the chase & they quickly went out of sight cuz I couldn't freaking go anywhere. By the time I got a couple of exits down I spotted the motorcycle on the exit ramp but no guy. I looked but I didn't see him anywhere. The ramp was one of those circular ones so I concluded that the motorcyclist either a) was going too fast for the turn & crashed b) stopped & ran on foot or c) was in the back of the cop's car. Judging by the sorryness of the cop it was either a or b.

Best of luck to you motorcycle guy. You were getting it for a minute.

Anyways, so I get to my parent's house & the entire place is mildly uprooted. Someone had apparently kicked the door down. The frame was completely broken & on the floor. They tossed & flipped everything everywhere. They flipped the mattresses, opened all of the cabinets & drawers, tore my dad's desk apart looking for stuff. Papers & random junk scattered all over the place.

And guess what? They didn't take anything but her jewelry & some money. Basically a kid or substance abuser who just needed cash or something small & quick that they can sell. *sigh of relief*

Well, not relief cuz I'm still pissed that someone robbed them, but at least they still got all of their stuff. I was afraid that I was gonna come to a completely empty house. I would've been devastated. So we filed the report & everything & my dad got someone to come fix the door. I swear my dad's got connections. lol. He's like the Vietnamese Godfather or something. "Someday, and that day may never come, I'll call upon you to do a service for me..." lol. I mean, anytime he needs anything done he just makes a call & someone's there immediately to get whatever he has to get done. Whether it be to fix the car, fridge or whatever. It's crazy.
My parents are fine by the way; they weren't home when it happened. My mom didn't show it but I know that she's sad that about her jewelry. She had her wedding ring & bracelet on with her so that's the only thing she's got left. They took everything else. I'm gonna buy her some new jewelry soon.

I stayed with them for a while to translate & get everything situated & left. Oh, and I hadn't had anything to eat that day either. By the time I left their place it was maybe 7pm & I was running out of fuel. lol. I got home & made myself some spaghetti.

Hmm... Spaghetti to end a long, exhausting, action-packed day.

Oh yea, by the way, criminals piss me off. If you're gonna rob somebody then rob the bank or something. Somebody big that has an adundant amount that they can afford to lose. Don't rob an older couple just because they're an easy target. You freaking punks! They don't have anything in their house but medicine, asian foods & random things that they've collected over the years & refuse to throw away anyway. Duhhh! Go get a job at a big corporation & wire 8 billion dollars to an offshore account or something. My God! If you're gonna do something then go for the gusto. Be the best at it. Stop with all of these small time crimes. Normal people are already struggling as it is. They don't need you making it worse.

Oh, and I don't condone or endorse bank robberies or crimes of any sort. Don't quote me on that. I'm not saying, I'm just saying... lol

*insert 800 curse words here that I wanted to write for this whole blog but refrained from doing*

HAPPY (belated) NEW YEAR!!!

Hi you guys, I know I've been MIA but I'm back. Yay! I told myself I wouldn't touch a computer till I got back to work, and I haven't till now. I've just been relaxing & enjoying my holidays & time off. Mannn, all I've been doing is eating & sleeping. Whew! Time to go back to work tomorrow. I like my job so actually don't mind...

Anyhoos, I'm about to go to sleep (or try to, think I had too much sugar today)

Oh yea, by the way. I had too much freaking air freshener today too. Ugh! Thought I was gonna have to go to the hospital man. Freak accident: Basically Q unplugged one of our liquid air freshener thingies to charge the laptop & put it on the living room table. I sat down to eat & saw that it was sideways so picked it up & put it on the other side of the table upright. Little did I know that it was leaking since it had been on its side so when I picked it up I ran it across my plate without thinking & some liquid dripped in my green beans. Ugh!

As soon I ate the green beans I spit it out & choked & almost threw up for the next 10 min.
Yea. It was very pretty. If you need to know, liquid air freshener is very bitter. And everyone knows I hate bitter stuff. Double UGH!!

Note to self: Don't ever run any chemicals across your plate ever again. Leaking or not.

Noted.

SANTA CLAUS GOT A PARKING TICKET

"NEW YORK -- Santa Claus has added a New York City traffic agent to his naughty list after she gave him a ticket while delivering gifts to children. Chip Cafiero said he'll fight the $115 ticket he received in Brooklyn on Black Friday when he was dressed as Santa.

The 60-year-old retired schoolteacher was riding a horse-drawn carriage and handing out toys and candy canes. An SUV carrying the toys and protecting the horse from traffic was double parked next to him.

Santa said he yelled "Ho! Ho! Ho!" to get the traffic agent's attention because the SUV wasn't blocking traffic.

"The kids started crying: 'That's Santa's car! That's Santa's car!'" Cafiero told the New York Daily News. But he said, "This grinch just went ahead and fined me."

Local politician Martin Golden, who was at the event, called the parking ticket "ridiculous." Police won't comment on it."

Hanh: Aww, poor kids!!! I would've said that too. lol. Can't believe she gave him a ticket. What a loser! Some people are just so into their job that it consumes their common sense or empathy. Ugh! No presents for you this year.

6 more days till Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!! *does the happy dance*

"AN" ADDENDUM

Oh. Yea. I forgot one more error: "An"

You put "an" before any word that starts with a vowel people! (And also some words that starts with an silent h. Like "an hour")

As in: an apple, an empty glass, an initial contact, an octopus, an umbrella

I gave you an example for each of the vowels. So you better learn & you better learn quickly!!!

Incorrect examples: a apple, a empty glass, a octopus, a annoying idiot who doesn't know how to use "an."

I think out of all of the errors this & "it's" are the most annoying one to me. It just sounds so wrong! And once again, I hear everybody use it incorrectly: radio hosts, tv hosts, business people... EVERYBODY. I mean, seriously. Learn. It. People!

K thanks! You can go now...

GRAMATYCAL & SPELLEING ERRURS

Tell me why so many people make simple grammatical and/or spelling errors? I don't know how or why I'm so prone to pointing out these mistakes because I don't even look for them but as soon as my eyes cross something I can see the mistake instantly. Maybe one of my Language Arts teachers taught me well or I'm just psychotic (but that's not the topic right now. lol.) Anyhoos, here are the ones that I see so often & it drives me crazyyyyyy:

1) It's

Why can't people use it in its correct form? UGH!!! I mean, I speak in slang everyday but it still makes sense. It's messed up to use slang & make no sense. Now you're just sounding like Lil Wayne...

"It's" stands for "it is" or "it has" people!

So many people use "it's" to replace "there" in a sentence & it sounds so stupid! For example: "It's 3 people at the party." So you're basically saying "It is 3 people at the party" or "It has three people at the party." Does that make sense? NOOOOOOOOO! You mean to say "There are 3 people at the party" or at least say "There's 3 people at the party" even though it's not all the way correct it's better than "It's 3 people at the party."

And I hear professional people say it all the time. Radio hosts, tv anchors & etc. I'm like, somebody needs to get an "IT'S" lesson from Hanh!

Some other wrong examples: "It's snow on the ground." NO! "THERE'S snow on the ground."
"It's gonna be some cute men at the club tonight." NO! "THERE'S gonna be some cute men at the club tonight."

Some right examples: It's gonna be a nice day. It's been a while since I had some lobster. It's like that? It's crowded in this room... well, you get the point.

The next time you say it's and can't tell if it's right or not then break it down & see if it makes sense. Challenge number one.

2) Their. There. They're

This one is a little more extensive than "it's" because, well, there's 3 of 'em. But how many people didn't pay attention in school? My God! What are we wasting our tax money on?

This isn't a verbal mistake as when you say them they all sound the same but when you write it down then that's when people look like a) they didn't get more than an elementary school education or b) they are so careless that they just write whatever & not check it.

So as a public service announcement, here are the (broader as I'm not gonna get extra detailed cuz that would take forever) definitions & examples of each:

Their: shows possession. As in: their keys, their books, their car, their sense of humor.

There: shows location or state of condition. As in: Your keys are over there on the table. You went to Vegas? We went there last summer. There! I'm finished.

They're: They are. As in: They're crazy. They're going to therapy this Sunday. They're going to be late too.

Get it right people! It's not that hard! Just think before you write/type. Challenge number 2.

3) People mispelling business signs. Are you kidding me?! Why would I want to do business with you if you can't even spell? First warning sign right off the bat! lol! I'm sure most are just simple mistakes but if I still see the same mispelled word day after day & month after month then somebody obviously hasn't checked or noticed. That would mean you are careless or unattentive which would also be another bad warning sign. Or it could mean that someone told you that it was wrong & you won't change it cuz you don't feel like it or keep forgetting to change it. Either way that makes you lazy, stubborn or forgetful so that's three other bad warning signs to not do business with you. Either way, a mispelled anything for a business is a no no. Ergo, check your signs people! Challenge number 3.

Of course even the most literate people make grammatical & spelling errors & they aren't the biggest problems on earth but you might be surprised how it affects you. It might affect you not getting a job if it's on your resume, affect a potential date from not happening if he/she sees your myspace or whathaveyou & see that you can't spell for nothing which means you might not be that smart, or something just one letter off can mean a completely different word which can completely change everything.

Just a little something to think about...

MISSION FAILED

In lieu of all of the bad economic news these days I thought I'd share a news article with you guys:

It wasn't the preferred way to enter the Knoxville Museum of Art, but Richard Anthony Smith told police he was on a mission.

The 25-year-old Knoxville man called 911 from his cell phone before dawn Wednesday saying he was trapped in an air-conditioning duct leading from the museum roof, Knoxville police spokesman Darrell DeBusk said.

Police and firefighters reached the roof, found a rope and cable and followed them to a vent shaft. Peering inside, they spotted Smith about 45 feet down.

"Mission failed," he told them.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reported a 911 operator got the call from the 25-year-old Smith before dawn Wednesday, saying he was stuck and needed help.

Police called on the fire department to lift officers to the roof, where they rescued Smith from the vent and restrained him, charging him with burglary.

Smith told police he was a "special agent from the United States Illuminati, badge number 0931" and had rappelled onto the museum from a helicopter, a police report said.

He said he was following orders to "defuse and confiscate" a Soviet-made nuclear warhead, specifically a "MERV6SS-22AN" warhead, according to the report.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
LMAO!!! Ok, so I would've believed the whole defuse and confiscate a Soviet-made nuclear warhead thing if you hadn't gotten caught. I mean, stuck. Lol! I'm all for conspiracy theories cuz if I see someone pale-faced, out of breath, sweating & running out of a store saying there's aliens in there you best believe I'm taking my ass out of the parking lot. But for real though? You called the cops to come get you out? What? Your Illuminati special agent friends were too busy on other missions & couldn't come save you? Aww mannnn.
*STARES*
But next time you decide to rappel down from a helicopter can you do it at my house on Dec. 25th? I can tell everyone you're Santa Claus. Best mission ever!
FRAGRANCESITE.COM
I've had a bad shopping experience so decided to broadcast a public service announcement:
Shoppers beware!
Fragrancesite.com is a fraudulent website that scams you out of your money!!!
Do NOT for any reason buy anything from their website. Don't register for their site so they'd have your personal info. Don't even go on their site period.
~~~
Back story: As you all should've read, our anniversary & Actor's birthday was this past weekend. So I decided to get him some cologne as part of his gifts or whatever. I googled under the "shopping" tab for colognes & their site showed up. I wanted to get 2 mini colognes so he could sample them & to see if he liked it before I bought him a big bottle so my purchase was only about $20.

Back back story: Someone in Australia tried to scam my account so the bank froze my account. My bank said basically what they tried to do was draft 97 cents out of my account to see if it would work & then they would increase it over time until they cleaned me out. They caught it (luckily) but froze my account without my knowledge (annoyingly.) I found out the hard way because I tried to pay for gas with my card & couldn't. I figured the pump was just having technical difficulties so didn't think anything of it. Then the next day I tried to pay for Actor's gift online & it wouldn't let me. That's when I called the bank & they told me my account was frozen. Well, thanks for the memo you asses!

But anyway, so Actor's birthday was coming up & I couldn't pay for anything cuz my account was frozen so my co-worker said that we would get it for me & I'd pay her back when my account was back to normal. So she placed the order for me on fragrancesite.com.

Now back to the original story: Now everything on their site looks very legit: the shopping cart, order review, account registration & the whole nine. It looks like any other normal online store. So we put in the order & paid through Paypal & got the confirmation & everything. That was last Monday. They said that they ship priority so the order should've gotten to me by Wednesday. Thursday came & I didn't get my stuff nor did I get any contact from them saying anything about my order being delayed or anything. So I went on their website to find a # to call & didn't find one. The only thing they had was an email contact. That was the 1st red flag.

I asked my co-worker to check if the payment went through & everything & it did so we didn't know what the problem was. She finally found a # that they had through PayPal & called them. A guy picked up & she said he was breaking up really bad & had a thick accent so she could barely understand what he was saying. After she chewed him out he said that my shipment was supposed to be here by now & that he'd go down to the warehouse himself & check on it & call her back in 20 minutes.

He never called back of course. She tried calling him numerous times with no answer, of course. So she tried to email them & it came back as an invalid email address, of course.

Her boyfriend did a little research & found out that they were an illegitimate website & they reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Ugh!

And to think I registered with them & put my personal info on there. At least I only put my work address & not my home. I don't have any accounts opened under my work address so that made me feel a little better. What made me feel sooooooooo horrible was that my co-worker tried to help me out & her account ended up getting messed up. Just got word from her today that the charges were reversed on her PayPal so hopefully they didn't hack into that & get her personal info & she'd have to cancel/change her account or something cuz then I'd feel like even more crap.

I don't order online much & that's exactly one of the reasons why: I don't trust sites other than big corporate names like Target or Barnes & Nobles, etc... I definitely wouldn't have bought from them if I had suspected anything but I guess they got me this time. Now I feel really slow because now that I think about it they had a lot of mispelled words on the site. It annoyed me at 1st but then I gave them the benefit of the doubt because I know alot of sites that have mispelled words (even large corporattions) especially if it's a smaller business & someone just made a website for them. I should've listened to my gut.

Oh well, lesson learned. This hasn't stopped me from shopping online but it sure as hell has made me way more cautious of who I should buy from. Some helpful hints is to look them up in the Better Business Bureau, check their seller ratings & just use common sense. If it sounds too good to be true then, boys & girls, it probably is.

And oh yea,

Shoppers beware!

Fragrancesite.com is a fraudulent website that scams you out of your money!!!

Do NOT for any reason buy anything from their website. Don't register for their site so they'd have your personal info. Don't even go on their site period.

GRANDMA GLOCK

Tue Aug 19, 11:25 PM ET

POINT MARION, Pa. - An 85-year-old woman boldly went for her gun and busted a would-be burglar inside her home, then forced him to call police while she kept him in her sights, police said. "I just walked right on past him to the bedroom and got my gun," Leda Smith said.
Smith heard someone break into her home Sunday afternoon and grabbed the .22-caliber revolver she had been keeping by her bed since a neighbor's home was burglarized a few weeks ago.

"I said 'What are you doing in my house?' He just kept saying he didn't do it," Smith said.

After the 17-year-old boy called 911, Smith kept holding the gun on him until state police arrived at her home in Springhill Township, about 45 miles south of Pittsburgh.

The boy will be charged with attempted burglary and related offenses in juvenile court, Trooper Christian Lieberum said. He was not identified because of his age.

"It was exciting," Smith said. "I just hope I broke up the (burglary) ring because they have been hitting a lot of places around here."

~~

Whoo! Go Grandma!!! Now THAT is some news! lol! She's so nice. If someone were to break in my house they'd get more than a call to the cops I tell you that much. Don't you get 3 "warning" shots? ...

MONEY MAKING MAMA

People crack me up. hahahaha. On the news:

"BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A Bakersfield woman faces charges that she counterfeited money and identification cards after her 10-year-old son turned her in to authorities.

According to Kern County Superior Court records, the boy gave sheriff's deputies phony money last month that his mother created. The child told investigators she also had a computer that makes fake ID cards.

Deputies executing a search warrant seized computer disks, scanners and printers.

The thirty-year-old woman is due in court Friday. She faces several charges, including possessing equipment to commit forgery.

Deputies said she was arrested July 4 and posted $50,000 bail the same day."

Hahahhaha. First of all, what a smart little 10 yr. old. He knows the difference between right & wrong. Good for him. Second of all, I wonder if he did it out of spite because she wouldn't give him any of the money that she was making. hahaha. And thirdly, she was arrested & posted $50,000 bail the same day. Uh, she probably paid with the fake money that she made you idiots! LMAO!

THE DARK KNIGHT

Ok, seriously? When I said you HAVE to go watch The Dark Knight, I meant it. And when I said do whatever you have to do? I meant with good judgement, duhhhhh. Sneaking in to a theater is one thing, but leaving your 2 year old in the car with the windows rolled up to watch TDK is inexcusable. You IDIOT!!! What the *#%! were you thinking? Well, obviously you weren't, but DAMNNNNN!!!

According to the press, David Farnham shares custody with the child's mother & it apparently was his weekend to watch his son. Little old David wanted to go see TDK without any interruptions so he decides to leave him in the car & goes to see the movie. WITH the windows rolled up might I add. It was 11:30 at night but it was still 87 degrees. Yea, need I paint more of the picture?

A fellow movie-goer passed by the car & saw a little boy sweating & crying & called the police. During the last 10 minutes of the movie, they cops went into the theater, turned the movie off, turned the lights on & said that they were looking for Farnham. And they told the crowd why they were arresting him too. lol. Everyone threw stuff at him as he was escorted out of the theater. Man I wish I was there!

Boys & girls, the lesson for the day is to not ever ever ever leave anyone, especially babies in the car by themselves. Especially with the windows rolled up. And especially not for a movie that's almost 3 hours long, ok? Thanks!

Anyhoos, now to the main attraction.

Need I say more?

Well, if you must... The Dark Knight is one of the greatest comic book turned movie ever. Heath Ledger gave the, needless to say, best performance of his career. Christian Bale was hot as always, they replaced Katie Holmes with Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes, Morgan Freeman was awesome as always, Aaron Eckhart was a good two-faced, and the movie is, as of this moment, breaking box office records as we speak.

The scariest thing about Ledger was that he was a surpassingly smart Joker. He didn't have any special powers except for smarts & how to manipulate people into doing what he wanted them to (with a little dynamite here & toys there of course.)

The action was packed as expected, the heat between Rachel & Bruce was still there, and the toys & gadgets were banging!

Honestly, this is the 1st movie review where I don't have much to say. I just want you to go see it. lol. It is self-explanatory. Trust me, you won't want your money back...

"I believe whatever doesn't kill you simply makes you... stranger."

"Bruce: Why don't we put some tables together?
Harvey Dent: I don't think they'll let us.
Bruce: They should…I own the place."

"Wanna know how I got these scars?"

"Bruce: I need a new suit.
Lucius: Yes, three buttons is a little '90's, Mr. Wayne"

"You wanted me, here I am."

"Do I look like a guy with a plan?"

THE TITLE OF THIS BLOG

It's Friday & I'm in a crappy mood. Don't take me wrong, I'm VERYYY glad that it's Friday because I'm off for the weekend, but... I'm having a blah day. I don't like what I'm wearing, my hair looks like crap cuz I washed it last night, ergo it's fuzzy at the roots. Not nappy, but more like the baby hairs are sticking up & there's no way that I can make it lay down cuz I don't like putting products in my hair. Go figure.

I got 3 hours of sleep last night, got to work 15 min. late this morning, stomach hurts a little bit & it's freaking freezing at my job. Needless to say, yours truly is not having a good day right now. Therefore, I am making a hate list. Of random things. Not just from today but everyday. And in no particular order. Sue me.

1) Bathroom doors that has openings 2 inches wide on each side so people can peep in & see you. Who the hell can't measure and/or is a perv?

2) People who complain all the time. Especially through loud random outbursts. For the record, I don't give a flying flip! I'm having a bad day too; don't wanna hear about your shit! Keep it inside until it accumulates & you go shoot a random person at the grocery store or something. I don't care! Just, shut up!

3) Sporadic headaches. They come & go out of nowhere! Ughh!!! Even though they only lasts about 30 secs they are a pain in the ass. I mean, head. Whatever.

4) Sporatic toothaches. *insert me stabbing someone here* There's nothing worse than a toothache. I'd rather have a million headaches than one toothache. Cuz most of the time it leads to a headache anyway. So save me the extra pain shall we & just skip to the 30 sec headache? Thanks!

5) The fact that technology fail too often for my liking. Our company runs on our own system so when it breaks down I basically can't do anything because all of the info that I need to work on is in there. All our client's names, info & etc! So I gotta sit there & wait for it to be fixed & try not to choke the crap out of the people that are complaining about the system being down. Refer to #2.

6) Brando's ugly habit of jumping onto people. He doesn't jump on me as much because he knows better, but everytime we have guests he's unnecessarily hyper & toooooo excited for his own good & jumps all over them. He has sharp claws so it scratch people sometimes & it hurts! He also loves to lick! Well duh he's a dog & that's what dogs do to show their affection but he's tricky with it. He's smart so he knows what he's doing. But everytime I squat down on the ground to fix his bed or rinse out his bowl outside he'll run up behind me, lift up my shirt & lick my back. Little bastard. It was cute for awhile but not so much anymore. And sometimes he'll jump on me, lift up my shirt & lick my stomach. It's so disgusting. And if I'm not wearing jeans he'll drench my ankles with slob. Asshole. I remember one day I came in the house heated cuz both of my ankles were soaking wet & Q was like "What's wrong?" & saw my ankles & died laughing. It wasn't funny. At the moment.

7) Spending $90 on groceries that last 2-3 days max. I have some big boys with an even bigger appetite in my house. Why the hell is the price of everything going up & not my salary? huh? How much sense does that make you stupid government?!

8) Speaking of, $40 to fill my tank now. Used to be $20. Every couple of days. Even though we carpool. It's not much compared to other people's cars but still! Ughh!!!

9) The fact that I went to a bunch of different stores in the mall, tried on outfits, finally found what I wanted to buy, stood in line, got up to pay & didn't have my card with me. And only like 5 bucks in cash. Moped...

10) Being too sleepy to finish a movie. Or start a movie too late, it's so good that I can't stop watching & end up getting 3 hours of sleep for work the next day. Damn my obsession.

11) Busy work

12) Just cuz you see me doing something for someone else doesn't mean you should feel obligated to ask me to do it for you too. I already did it once. And I hate repeating stuff.

13) And I hate repeating stuff

13b) Being asked to get up to get something for someone as soon as I sit down & get comfortable. Even worse when asked to go back to the place where I just came from.

14) People who use my stuff & don't put it back where they found it. I have warning signs around my cube now. Put it back or get ink poisoning.

15) Getting an eyelash, or anything, in my eye. Contacts + intruder = Hanh turning into the Hulk.

16) People who are nice to you when they know damn well you hate each other. I do it sometimes for political reasons. Even though I honestly could give a *rhymes with duck.* But most of the time if I don't like you I won't talk to you. Take the hint & go screw yourself.

17) Ugly babies. Yes there are ugly babies! And don't get mad at me if I make a face out of uncontrollable reaction and/or on purpose. I love most babies. Just not yours.

18) Impatient people. Especially at an eatery. People who make a loud scene when their order is wrong. Yea you're so not getting any dandruff flakes and/or other stuff that secretes from the chef's body in your food. Seen "Waiting" lately?

19) People who can't control their kids. I'd gladly help you out but I might get arrested, therefore not such a good idea.

20) The fact that I've been cursing way too much as of late. I've got alot of anger inside of me. Maybe from all the things from the list above. Go figure. But Actor & I had a swear jar thingy going on last week. He did it so I would stop cursing so much. Basically we had to put in a dollar for every curse word & at the end of the week whoever curses the least gets all the money. Tell me why I only cursed 4 times & he about 20? So I got 20 bucks. We didn't do it this week though; I've stopped cursing as much. I usually try not to curse so much on here cuz I dunno who reads my blog & I don't wanna be a bad influence. (Yes I do care! About children especially. I feel so bad every time I accidentally curse around them.) And I usually don't curse much but as of late I've just been really really angry. Sure I could throw out a ton of "big, intellectual" words in it's place but hell, cursing makes me feel good sometimes.

And so does this list.

"YOU DON'T WANNA GO THERE CUZ I WILL RING MY BITCH BELL SO LOUD..."

The past month have been the most busy & fun month as of yet. Of this year anyway, since it's the 1st month so doesn't have any competition. lol

* My birthday party was on Jan. 12th at Hooters. It was great! Started off kind of rocky but ended really well. We were supposed to go to the Atlanta location & I called & told them like 10 times but 20 minutes before we were supposed to be there they told me that they didn't have any tables available for me. Some sorry service... So we changed it to the one near where we lived instead. It was way across town so some people couldn't find a ride/ make it so I lost about half of my party but alot of people still showed up. (The real, true, ride or die friends. lol. Boo everybody else! Still love you though :-p) We had a blast! I got great gifts :-D

* My friend Cali's birthday was this past weekend. We had an all girl's dinner on Friday (well, all girls plus one gay guy, same difference) at F.R.O.G.S. I've never been there before but we ended up having to go there because Loca Luna (I hate you guys by the way) was a horrible horrible stupid idiotic place with the worst customer service EVERRRR. We got there at 8:30pm & waited until 10:30pm and left. Mind you there was no waiting area so we sat/stood by the door where people were coming in & out & it was the freaking coldest night of the week & I gotta freaking cold as we speak. And they said that we couldn't make reservations until 10pm but people were coming in in herds & got tables immediately, cuz they, of course, had reservations. WTF man??!!!!!!

When we 1st got there they claimed that the wait was an hour. We called around & every restaurant in the vicinity was about the same so we decided to wait. An hour later it was "Oh, your table's coming up. Give us 15-20 minutes." Half an hour later it was "Oh yea, 15-20 more minutes." Half an hour more... well, you get the picture.

F.R.O.G.S was ok. I'm just not into hispanic foods like that so... ehh. Just went there cuz the birthday girl wanted to.

But yea. Boyyy. Alot of people almost got stabbed that night. By my purple suede stilettos. For realll. But none of us made a big fuss cuz we were all starving & had no energy to. In the words of our fab gay friend "You don't wanna go there cuz I will ring my bitch bell so loud... honeyyyyy"

* We went to Bazaar for our friends' mixtape release party after dinner. They brought her a chocolate cake and all. It was delish! And thennnnn.... dun dun dun... a fight breaks out! Apparently 2 guys started fighting over lord knows what & our guys had to break them up. Turns out they were on the same team. They were both our friends. Crazy I tell ya.

Actor was mad because he met us there & had only been there for half an hour & we got kicked out. lol. They kicked our 2 guys that were breaking the fight out too & the party was for their mixtape. lol. Talk about ironic.

* We spent the night at Cali's house & went to Red Robin for lunch the next day. It was greattt. One of my favorite burger joints now. They're hugeeee. lol. Our friend Meth got a monster burger & by the time he (barely) finished it he was breathing heavy & face was a little flushed. hahahaha. It was funny. And their freckled lemonades? Whew! I had like 5 of 'em. The best ever! It's lemonade with real strawberries in it. *drools*

* Me & Actor have been going shopping crazyyyy. One of the things we said that we were gonna do this year (we don't believe in NY resolutions, you should try to do better all the time, not just on a list once a year. But anyways...) was get more stuff. And indeed we did. I swear I've literally acquired 5 pairs of shoes in like 3 weeks. Including some ridiculously banging Coach shoes for a ridiculously low price. hahaha. Yayyy. :-D

That's all I can remember as of the moment. I shall write more shortly.

Toodles.

Love,
Akanke

DRIVING IDIOTS

To add to my LIST OF ANNOYANCES are the idiotic drivers of the century. Yea I know it's usually "of the day" but there always have been idiotic drivers & always will be even when I'm gone, so... take that!!!

It's 6:20am, road is wet from overnight rain, skies still lightly drizzling, and there are idiots EVERYWHERE! I swear for part of the license exam they should have people pass a "rainy day" course. I'll even donate a sprinkler or two to recreate the rain or something...

So as an ode to the driving idiots & cuz I said I would in my previous blog REFLECTIONS ADDENDUM I'm going to list some dos & don'ts when you're on the road, especially with me. Cuz I am not afraid to blow my horn & hold it as long as needed to either wake your ass up or knock some sense into you. Either or, or whatever it is that the horn can do for you to make you a better driver :-)

* DOS & DON'TS*

1. Turn your lights on in the morning. People can't see your black on black car even if they have 21/21 vision. Or you can just get hit. Whatever you choose.

2. Stay in your lane. If you have to merge turn your blinker on. Don't merge all fast, especially without your blinkers cuz people are slow, especially in the morning. And once you turn/merge turn your damn blinkers off! That's another accident hazard. If you have it on for so long people will assume you're an idiot that's not gonna turn. And then you turn.

3. Let people over. Stop being assholes & try to speed up & make it difficult. Or if you're gonna speed up do it completely so they can get behind you.

4. Pay attention! Get off the phone, don't read/text, put on make up... etc. Keep your eyes on the road!

5. Slow down when you see pedestrians. Somehow they think they're invincible & just walk or run infront of your car.

6. If you see an accident & don't have anywhere to go, stick around & be a witness. Some people are liars & will try to blame the other person for their idioticness.

7. Don't drive in the fast lane, i.e. lane next to the HOV lane if you're gonna go under 75. I have places to be & can't get in the HOV cuz I'm riding solo. And since you're apparently not in a rush to get anywhere, get the $&%* outta my way!

8. In an addition to #2. Stay in your damn lane! Yes there's lines for a reason. If you need an alignment then get that shat! But if you're not then you better keep that wheel a little to the left or right to keep your car straight. Cuz I have insurance. Great insurance. Car & medical. So if you hit my car I wouldn't care. Do YOU have insurance?

9. Turn your music down. It's 6 in the morning! I don't care if it's a new banger, I don't wanna hear it right now. And not everyone on the road likes what you like so be respectful & keep it to yourself. I didn't say turn it down, just don't have it filling up the whole intersection is all.

10. Don't stare. Ok. This is a social rule period. I mean, what the F*$% is you looking at?! Did a diamond that I didn't know about fall in my car or something? Do I look like your ex-wife? Do we look like somebody on the wanted pix you saw at the post office or something? I'm usually calmer than Actor, cuz if he catches you staring he'll ask you what you're looking at. lol

So there they are: 10 rules to abide by when you're driving on the road with me, or if you're not sure, anybody that looks like me. There's plenty more but I don't feel like thinking about idiots anymore.

Until next time... Akanke

KEYVIN LYLE

In an addendum to my ORIGIN OF AIDS blog, did you know that it's a felony in Georgia to have sex with someone without disclosing that you have HIV? (I myself did not know that.) It's punishable by up to 10 yrs. in prison. Another reason why you should get tested cuz I don't think they'd care if you knew that you had it or not. You know the law: ignorance is not an excuse, even though some laws are not common or accessible to most citizens.

Police in Athens have arrested Keyvin Lyle, 34, and charged him with felony reckless conduct. The woman, who remains anonymous, apparently had sex with him 3 years ago & got infected. She just recently found out that she had AIDS & investigators traced back in time & established that it was him.

And guess what? He was arrested because police were responding to a domestic violence call & found out that he was wanted. He was also charged with simple battery on a police officer and obstruction of a law enforcement officer because he resisted arrest and tried to punch one of the officers. lol.

Good job buddy. It's sad because he probably didn't know that he had it; or maybe he did & was just being nasty & sleeping with everybody to infect them too. Hey I've heard that that happens alot.

Either way. Shame on him & I hope both of them get treated & not infect any more people.

KROGER IDIOTS

"I can't stand ignorant people. And I really can't stand people who know that they're being ignorant & don't care... And I can't stand cops who don't do their job. And I can't stand... UGHHHHHH I'm pissed off. Hmm, should I say something? Maybe I shouldn't. Cuz if I do & he says something rude back he's gonna make me go ape shat on his ass. And I can't do that in public. I'm a lady... Maybe I'll just watch & see what happens. Maybe the cop'll do something... Yea right. He's not gonna. Oh well. Mind your business Akanke. Mind your own business..." *la da da da da*

All of this is going through my head as I stand in the self-check out lane at Kroger. See, me & this guy was standing in line, (let's call him Bob. Cuz you know, remember to check for Bob. If you don't know, ask somebody in retail) him in front of me, waiting our turn. You know how there's 4 registers & you just kinda stand in the middle so whichever register opens up 1st you go to that one? Yea, that's what we were doing. All of a sudden, these two idiots come out of nowhere & put their stuff on one of the registers. While the person was still ringing up their stuff might I add.

So Bob says "Hey, there's a line"
"WHAT?! THERE AIN'T NO LINE! YOU WAS STANDING OVER THERE."
"Yes there is, we're standing over here. There's a line."
"I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU TALKING BOUT. AIN'T NO LINE."

Bob shakes his head & walks over to the opposite register that just opened up. I knew he wasn't gonna put up much of a fight cuz he was kinda nerdy looking; I was actually surprised that he spoke up at all. Way to go Bob! And I'm next in line, just standing there looking. The security for the store was an actual cop and he was standing on the other side of the register looking dead at them, but he was too busy on his phone caking to do anything about it. (Yes I knew he was caking cuz guys have that face on when they're caking, smirking, with their head kinda turned to the side speaking in the phone all sensitive & shat.) But anyways, he didn't do nothing about it. And it pissed me off.

Sorry excuse for a cop. Sorry excuse for a man. All 3 of them. (Not Bob, the cop & the 2 idiots. Keep up people!) He knew damn well there was a line, and his fat sidekick just standing there instigating. Bob finished his transaction & left, while the 2 idiots were still trying to figure out how to work the machine, and how to pay with their EBT cards. Your broke ass. And the sidekick's over there like "Where'd he go? Did he leave yet?" like he was gonna go out to the parking lot & do something. Man sit your fat ass down.

They were in their early to mid 50s, both looking intoxicated. I didn't know if they were high or drunk or both but they were acting ridiculously ignorant & I'm willing to bet that they'd act like that regardless if they were sober or not. Boo them. And boo the cop. You're all out on the streets gunning down speeders but nowhere to be found or won't so shat when a real incident happens. Boo you too.

Boo everybody. Get out of my way so I can go home & cook & eat & go to bed. Ain't got time for this foolishness. Everybody learn your damn manners & shut the hell up.

I'm out.
