ALICIA KEYS: AS I AM

Alicia Keys. She's the best. An explosive singer, songwriter, producer, actress & humanitarian. I decided to highlight her as my Person of the Day/ Song of the day, but I'm actually gonna do her new album. Yea she's that good. Can't just highlight one song cuz her whole album is hot.
Actor got me the album last week & I haven't stopped listening to it since. She's so refreshing compared to all the garbage out there. Blah. Y'all know exactly the bunch I'm talking bout too. There's alot of 'em. Name somebody. More than likely they fall into that category. Except for the exceptional ones of course, but they're a given.... Well let me get back to my point before this blog becomes a list of whack artists...

Anyhoo, I've literally listened to that album from beginning to end at least 30 times. Dead ass. It's great. Some of my favorite songs are:

I'm sure you've heard this on the radio as this is her new single. It's so hot! The melody, words, runs, harmonies, everything...I love half notes (flats or sharps for those who aren't music literate) Very different from normal & simple songs. Love it!
